MES DE LA AVELLANA

During the entire month of October, Benassal celebrates the Hazelnut Month, highlighting its role as a major hazelnut producer in the Castelló province. Weekend visits are offered to learn about hazelnut cultivation, special menus at restaurants, and the option to pick hazelnuts directly from the fields. Additionally, local establishments sell agro-food products with hazelnut as an ingredient, such as rossegons, flaons, mantecados, coca, hamburgers, and hazelnut sausages. This celebration aims to boost tourism by linking historical heritage and the Font d'en Segures spa resort with local cuisine.
